Meet the Team

Rebekah Krask, Owner

The heart and soul of SomethingBLUE, our cherished boutique owner, Rebekah, uses her expertise gained from her degree in Art History from Baylor University to highlight her wicked eye for detail. Her innate sense of creativity can be seen throughout every square inch of our shop, which she personally assisted in designing. Rebekah is a devoted mom to her two children, Finley and Hudson, and a loving wife to her husband, Thomas. Rebekah can always be found caring for those around her, and extends her heart to every member of our SomethingBLUE family, as well as every bride that steps into our store. Rebekah loves traveling, sushi, a classic gin and tonic, and people that can appreciate her refined art of sarcasm.

Sandie Walther, Owner

The original founder of SomethingBLUE, Rebekah’s mom, Sandie, had dreamt of owning a bridal salon ever since falling in love with the industry while working at a family owned boutique in the late 70s when attending college at The University of Tennessee. After graduating and spending many years teaching high school, Sandie could no longer ignore her heart's call back to bridal. She eased herself back into the wedding world, first styling and eventually managing at a couple high end boutiques before moving forward to open up SomethingBLUE in January of 2012. Sandie credits much of our boutique's initial success to the knowledge she learned on her journey in bridal before taking on the adventure of owning a small business. As Rebekah stepped forward, and Sandie stepped down into her retirement she now fills her time going on cruises with her husband Brian and spoiling her grandchildren.

Connie Gajewsky, Boutique Manager

Our beloved boutique manager, Connie, arrived at SomethingBLUE as a stylist back in the Summer of 2019, having never worked in the world of bridal before. Quickly after starting, however, Connie fell in love with the ins and outs of the industry, and she could feel in her bones that helping brides find their dream dress was the perfect job for her. Connie was promoted to manager in 2021, and can confidently say she’ll be working in bridal for the rest of her professional career. In 2022, Connie got to have her very own bridal experience with SomethingBLUE, as she said, “Yes,” to her wedding dress! When Connie isn’t at work, she can be found at home reading books by her favorite author Sarah J Maas, or spending time with her husband, Chase, and their cats, Benji, Lucy, and Stanley.

Alyssa Trevino, Fashion Director

Our resident fashion director, Alyssa, came to SomethingBLUE as a new stylist in 2018. Almost instantly she knew the world of bridal was her perfect home. She was promoted to fashion director in January of 2022, and with this position Alyssa’s keen sense of style truly shines bright. Highlighting her almost psychic-like ability to predict trends, through her role as fashion director Alyssa utilizes these skills, making her a key asset for the shop as she hand curates our boutique’s inventory. Alyssa is a loving mother to two sweet chunky corgis, Remi and Kai, who she parents alongside her loving fiancé Mason. A true Texas sweetheart, in her downtime Alyssa can be found enjoying a seafood boil and lounging with her little family beside the Bastrop bayou- the same bayou where Mason popped the question of forever.

Maddi Cassatt, Senior Stylist

Maddi joined SomethingBLUE in the Fall of 2022 and became a senior stylist for our company just one year after. With her grandmother owning a local wedding venue, Out Under the Trees, you could say that Maddi’s bridal roots run deep. Growing up witnessing the beginning of so many real life love stories, for Maddi, finding her own footing in the bridal realm with a career as a bridal gown stylist just made sense. She still can’t believe sometimes that she went from a little girl watching brides saying yes at the altar, to helping brides say yes to their dress on the daily. Although Maddi grew up as an only child, she has always been surrounded by her loving family, and considers her cousins to be more like siblings. Maddi is a devoted mom to her teacup poodle, Beau, who tags along with her nearly everywhere that she goes, and in their downtime they love trying out new coffee shops with her mom.

Tabitha Wallace, Stylist

The newest member of our SomethingBLUE family, Tabitha, joined the team in Autumn of 2023. Born on Valentine’s Day, she’s always gravitated towards all things love related, and considers herself to be Cupid’s favorite coworker. What better way to aid the Roman God of love than by helping bridal beauties along their journey to the perfect dress? As a stylist here at SomethingBLUE Tabitha uses her unique skill set developed from her combined background of luxury sales and childcare to aid her brides with knowledge and empathy as they hunt for the dress that makes them shout, “Yes!” In her spare time Tabitha likes to crochet with her mom, listen to Taylor Swift with her sisters, and experimenting concocting recipes with her partner Bruce- almost always paired with a glass of sparkling red wine.

Gwenna Moore,Garment Care Specialist

Gwenna joined the Something Blue team in September of 2019. Gwenna keeps gowns looking their best from their arrival from the designer, until our Brides’ wedding day. Her patience, attention to detail, and devotion to teamwork has allowed her to take on a variety of roles. She has given herself the unofficial title of Guardian of the Gowns! Before working at Something Blue, Gwenna spent her life traveling the world. She has lived in several countries and was a flight attendant in both Cincinnati and New York City. When Gwenna isn’t caring for gowns, she spends her time gardening, cooking and experiencing great wines. She loves being mom to two sons, Samuel and Wesley and two big dogs. Her husband, Darren is her constant companion and they have been married for 27 years.
