Meet the Team
Rebekah Krsak, Owner
Rebekah brings an exceptional eye for detail, honed through her Art History degree from Baylor University, to every gown selection and styling consultation. You can see her innate sense of creativity throughout the boutique, as she personally assisted in designing every square inch of the shop.
More than an expert stylist, Rebekah is the ultimate caretaker. She is a devoted mom to her two children, Finley and Hudson, and a loving wife to her husband, Thomas. Rebekah extends her open heart to every member of the Something BLUE family and, most importantly, to every bride who walks through our doors.
In her downtime, Rebekah enjoys traveling, cooking, sushi, a glass of wine, and anyone who can appreciate her refined art of sarcasm.
Sandie Walther, Owner
The original founder of Something BLUE is Rebekah's mom, Sandie.
Sandie's dream of owning a bridal salon began in the late '70s while she was attending the University of Tennessee. She fell in love with the industry while working at a family-owned boutique.
After college, Sandie spent many years teaching high school, but she couldn't ignore her heart's call back to the wedding world. She eased back in, first styling and eventually managing a few high-end boutiques before taking the leap to open Something BLUE in January of 2012. Sandie credits the boutique's initial success to the knowledge and passion she gained on that journey.
Since stepping down and entering a well-deserved retirement, Sandie now spends her time going on cruises with her husband, Brian, and thoroughly spoiling her grandchildren.
Connie Gajewsky, Boutique Manager
Our beloved boutique manager, Connie, joined Something BLUE as a stylist in the summer of 2019, coming to us without prior bridal experience. She quickly fell head-over-heels for the industry, realizing in her bones that helping brides find their dream dress was the perfect career path.
Connie's dedication led to her promotion to manager in 2021, and she is confident she'll be working in bridal for the rest of her professional life! In 2022, she even got to experience the magic of Something BLUE from the bride's side when she said "Yes!" to her own wedding dress here.
When Connie isn't leading our team, you can find her at home reading books by her favorite author, Sarah J. Maas, or spending time with her husband, Chase, and their three cats: Benji, Lucy, and Stanley.
Alyssa Hawkins, Fashion Director
Our resident fashion director, Alyssa, joined Something BLUE as a new stylist in 2018. She instantly knew the world of bridal was her perfect home.
Promoted to Fashion Director in January of 2022, Alyssa's keen sense of style truly shines. She has an almost psychic-like ability to predict trends, utilizing this skill to hand-curate our boutique's entire inventory. This expertise makes her a key asset in ensuring we offer the most beautiful and current gown selections.
A true Texas sweetheart, Alyssa is a loving mother to two sweet, chunky corgis, Remi and Kai, whom she parents alongside her husband, Mason. In her downtime, you can find her enjoying a seafood boil and lounging with her little family beside the Bastrop bayou—the very bayou where she and Mason said "I Do."
Gwenna Moore,Garment Care Specialist
Gwenna joined the Something BLUE team in September of 2019 and quickly gave herself the unofficial, but well-earned, title of Guardian of the Gowns!
Her patience, meticulous attention to detail, and devotion to teamwork are vital to our operations. From the moment a dress arrives from the designer until the bride's wedding day, Gwenna is the one who ensures every gown looks its absolute best.
Before landing in the bridal world, Gwenna spent her life traveling extensively, having lived in several countries and working as a flight attendant in both Cincinnati and New York City.
When she's not caring for our beautiful inventory, Gwenna spends her time gardening, cooking, and experiencing great wines. She loves being a mom to her two sons, Samuel and Wesley, and her two big dogs. Her husband, Darren, is her constant companion; they've been married for 27 years.
