We were lucky enough to work with C. Baron Photography at The Estates at Pecan Park for a gorgeous inspiration shoot evoking a lavish, southern summertime wedding, which was just published on Contemporary Weddings’ website this week (view the photos here)! The venue provides a romantic, antebellum feel with the sweeping staircase and white columns on the front porch.
To outfit the bride and groom models, we paired an absolutely stunning lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and a cobalt tuxedo to blend seamlessly with the “Gone With the Wind” theme.
Something Blue owner Sandie Walther said it wasn’t difficult to choose a dress once she caught the vision of the photoshoot.
“We loved the idea of a summertime garden party atmosphere,” she said. “The soft, romantic lace of the gown fit perfectly in a venue reminiscent of the south in days gone by.”
Several incredibly talented area vendors set up the shoot to feel like a real, southern wedding with gorgeous floral designs, linens and décor and an amazing vintage getaway car. The cake designer and bakery worked together to present a beautiful wedding cake, petit fours and mini pecan pies to just push the southern theme over the top (which we love, of course)!
After looking at these photos and closing our eyes, we can envision sitting on that porch in a rocking chair after the couple has said “I Do,” sipping sweet tea and watching the fireflies start to emerge as the day gives way to dusk. (Yep, we’re almost there!)
