In short…as soon as possible!  Most gowns take 4-6 months to arrive after being ordered, so the more lead time, the better. This will allow time for customization, alterations and plenty of time for bridal portraits. That said, we will do our very best to help you find a gown no matter how soon your wedding is! Some designers allow for rush orders and we always have a beautiful selection of off-the-rack gowns available.

Our gowns typically range from $1,000-$4,000, with the majority falling between the $1,500-$2,000 price point. Our stylists will respect your budget and help you choose gowns in a price range you are comfortable with.

Appointments are always preferred, but we do our best to help any bride who walks in to the shop. Saturdays are our busiest days of the week and these appointments fill up fast, so try to schedule your weekend appointment at least 2-3 weeks ahead. If you are looking for a quiet appointment without a lot of hustle and bustle, consider coming in on a weekday.

We do not charge for regular appointments or cancellations, but we would appreciate you letting us know ASAP if you CANNOT keep your appointment. We confirm our appointments by text.

We carry a variety of sample sizes, ranging from size 8 to size 28 (with the majority falling between a 10 and 16), and work hard to ensure we have every silhouette in all sizes.  We carry more than 300 different styles in our store, but only one sample of each style. Your dress will be special ordered based on your measurements.

Our appointments last 90 minutes. We try very hard to stay on schedule to respect the appointment of the bride following you. If we don’t have back-to-back appointments, we are happy to spend more time if you need.

You are welcome to bring any strapless bra, shapewear or bustier and shoes that you plan to wear on your wedding day. Some brides also like to wear makeup and fix their hair the way they plan to wear it on the wedding day to help them get an idea of their total look.

We encourage you to eat before or after your visit with us. In order to prevent possible damage to our gowns, we do not allow food or beverages in the shop with the exception of water, white wine and champagne.

We recommend bringing one to three family members or friends whose opinions you value most. Wedding dress shopping is a lot of fun, but it can get overwhelming when there are too many opinions.

We love children, but we do not allow them at appointments under the age of 10. This ensures the best use of your valuable time and is also respectful of other brides who are here for their appointments.  Not to mention the loose pins, needles, and other small objects that can be found in bridal salons that are safety hazards and are bound to cause worry.

We do not allow photographs of dresses until you have purchased your gown out of respect for our designers, many of whom do not post pictures of their dresses online to avoid crude reproductions.

No. Every single one of our wedding gowns is new.

No. Something BLUE wedding gowns are a forever keepsake for you to one day share with your daughter or granddaughter.

We accept Debit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and cash.

Unfortunately, there are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations.  There are no exceptions.

The vast majority of wedding gowns need at least some alterations to ensure the ideal fit.  You will be much happier to have your wedding dress fit flawlessly!  The alterations needed will vary from bride to bride and from gown to gown, and alterations costs are not included in the price of your wedding gown.  We will give you the contact information of our recommended seamstress and she will work with you in the weeks and months leading up to your wedding to make sure you are completely satisfied with the fit of your dress.

Trunk shows are events that we frequently host on weekends where we highlight a specific designer’s collection.  Trunk shows are a great opportunity to see and try on a wider variety of that designer’s collection than what we normally have in the shop.  Special gifts and discounts are often offered during trunk shows.

Sample sale gowns are sold as is, off the rack, and are a wonderful option for brides who don’t have 4-5 months for a new dress to be made, and/or for brides who love the opportunity to wear a special gown at a fraction of the original price.  In addition to the special Sample Sale event that we hold once a year, we also have sample sale gowns available year-round.
